Victory Church Safety Policy
At Victory Church, being a place of safety is an important part of representing Jesus and helping people discover His transforming love. We are committed to protecting vulnerable people, caring for survivors, holding abusers accountable, and never ignoring the cry of someone who has been harmed or may be at risk. A healthy safety culture is one in which unsafe behavior can be recognized, interrupted, reported and where asking a question or raising a concern is always welcomed and encouraged. Reporting Safety Concerns
Report the following promptly:
-
Known or suspected abuse or neglect
-
Grooming or behavior intended to create secrecy, isolation, dependency, or special access
-
Inappropriate conduct or boundary crossings
-
Repeated disregard for ministry safeguards
-
Safety Policy violations
-
Troubling disclosures
-
Anything that simply does not feel right
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
You do not need proof, you do not need to investigate, and you do not need to decide whether a concern is serious enough. Your responsibility is to protect immediate safety and report the information so the appropriate people can respond.
Concerns may be reported by:
• Speaking directly with any Safety Team member or Elder
• Emailing safetyatvictory@gmail.com
• Completing the reporting form located outside the office hallway or the link below
Reporting a concern to the church does not replace contacting law enforcement, child protection, or another civil authority when required
